Meet Malynn

She/Her/They

Hi, I'm Malynn—your friendly neighborhood massage therapist, energy worker, wellness educator, and the heart behind Magnolia Massage Haven & Energy Work.

I created Magnolia because I believe every body deserves bodywork and every person deserves a space where they feel safe, respected, and cared for exactly as they are.

For me, healing has never been just about relieving sore muscles. It's about helping people reconnect with their bodies, quiet the noise of everyday life, and create moments of rest in a world that often asks us to keep pushing forward.

Massage therapy is the foundation of my practice, but my vision has grown far beyond the treatment room. Today, Magnolia offers therapeutic massage, energy work, sound baths, wellness workshops, and community-centered experiences that encourage healing in whatever way feels right for you. Whether you're seeking pain relief, stress reduction, personal growth, or simply an hour to breathe, my goal is to meet you where you are.

I believe wellness isn't one-size-fits-all. Every session is personalized because every body, every story, and every healing journey is different. My role isn't to "fix" you—it's to walk alongside you, offering compassionate care, education, and a space where you can feel seen, heard, and supported.

When I'm not in the treatment room, you'll often find me hosting The Haven Within podcast, leading sound baths, organizing workshops, spending time outdoors, getting lost in a good book, or finding new ways to build community and make wellness more accessible.

Whether this is your very first massage or you're continuing a lifelong wellness journey, I'm honored you're here.

Welcome to Magnolia. I can't wait to meet you.

My Philosophy

No two bodies are the same, which is why no two sessions should be either.

Every massage begins with a conversation about how you're feeling, what your goals are, and how I can best support you that day. Whether you're seeking deep relaxation, relief from chronic pain, recovery from physical activity, or simply a quiet place to slow down, your session is thoughtfully tailored to meet your individual needs.

I believe bodywork is a collaborative experience. Your comfort, your preferences, and your feedback guide every session—from the techniques I use to the pressure I apply. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming environment where you can fully relax, knowing you're in compassionate and capable hands.

Together, we'll work to:

  • Reduce stress and calm the nervous system

  • Ease tension, pain, and muscle discomfort

  • Improve mobility and support your body's natural healing

  • Create space for rest, recovery, and renewed well-being

Because healing isn't about perfection—it's about helping you feel more at home in your body.

My Journey

My path into this work didn’t begin with a single moment—it unfolded over time through both personal experience and professional growth. I began my career in the healthcare field working in dermatology, and later as a nursing assistant in the hospital during COVID. Those years showed me just how deeply people need more than medications during some of the hardest days of their lives. I saw the need for comfort, presence, and compassionate care, even when I wasn’t always able to give it in the ways I wished I could.

Throughout all of that, I have always been naturally drawn to a more holistic approach to healing. I’ve long believed that true care involves more than treating symptoms—it means supporting the whole person: body, mind, and spirit.

That perspective eventually led me from nursing assistant work to becoming a licensed massage therapist. What started as a desire to help people feel better in their bodies grew into a lifelong passion for creating spaces where people feel safe, supported, and truly cared for.

Magnolia Massage Haven & Energy Work was born from that desire—to offer more than just bodywork, but a place where people can pause, breathe, and reconnect with themselves.

As my work has evolved, so has Magnolia. What began as massage therapy has expanded into energy work, sound healing, community gatherings, and educational experiences—all rooted in the same intention: helping people feel more at home in their bodies and in their lives.

Education and Certifications

I am a licensed massage therapist with a strong foundation in therapeutic bodywork and holistic wellness. I completed my 900-hour massage therapy program at HACC while attending night school and working at the hospital, an experience that deepened both my dedication to care and my understanding of the body’s needs.

My training includes:

  • Swedish Massage

  • Deep Tissue Therapy

  • Trigger Point Therapy

  • Myofascial Release

  • Prenatal Massage

  • Hot Stone Therapy

  • Cupping Therapy

  • Aromatherapy

I am also a certified Reiki Master, offering energy work sessions focused on balance, grounding, and relaxation.

As Magnolia Massage Haven continues to grow into a wellness center, I will be adding a yoga certification this fall and a personal training certification next year to further expand the services I can offer. I also plan to continue building my education with additional modalities such as body sculpting, orthopedic massage, trauma-informed work, and many others as my practice evolves.

What You Can Expect

When you arrive at Magnolia, you are stepping into a space designed for comfort, respect, and care.

Every session begins with a conversation about how you’re feeling and what your body needs that day. Your experience is always tailored to you, and your comfort guides every part of the session—from pressure preferences to techniques used.

You can expect:

  • A welcoming, judgment-free environment

  • Clear communication and consent throughout your session

  • A personalized approach based on your needs that day

  • A focus on nervous system support and whole-body relaxation

There is no expectation to “perform” or have everything figured out before you arrive. You are simply invited to show up as you are and receive care.

A Few Things I Love

When I’m not in the treatment room, you’ll usually find me spending time in ways that keep me grounded and connected.

Some of the things I love include:

  • Time outdoors and being in nature

  • Reading (especially anything that pulls me into another world)

  • Community spaces and small business connection

  • Hosting and growing The Haven Within podcast

  • Creating spaces for people to feel safe and seen

  • Slow mornings, coffee, and quiet moments of rest

  • Learning new ways to support wellness and healing

I believe the way we care for ourselves outside of work is just as important as the work we do in it.
